Stop, Drop & Groove

Michael manages and co-leads this 13-piece funk group. Founded by him and a peer in 2018, this band draws heavily from the influence of “Tower of Power”, Stevie Wonder, and “Earth, Wind and Fire.” As well as gigging extensively around Montreal, this large band is planning to release original music in the next few months.

FARAWAY PLACES album release

Michael’s band, Stop, Drop & Groove released a remotely-recorded 8 track album. Michael was a writer, producer, manager and mix/master engineer for the project. With 34 musicians involved and 8 months in the making, this album was an expression of love for music in a time when the arts was suffering during the global pandemic. This project brought together many musicians and artists to celebrate the joy of creating and sharing music.
